It contains chemicals such as catechins, flavonols, tannins, etc. All the parts of the trees are also used for medicinal treatment, such as swelling in the liver, blood clotting, enhancing digestion, and curing skin disorders, sore throat, and diarrhoea. They also have medicinal properties such as anti-inflammatory, antidiuretic, astringent, bactericide, etc. For external as well as internal health problems, Acacia catechu is the best tree to use.
