Creating a better connection than Wi-fi!
“You can’t have the fruits without the roots.”
We all admire our current generation for their knowledge of technologies. We are so much engaged in online activities, living in a digital world. We connect with people across the globe within minutes or even in seconds. We are always connected and updated about our latest technologies. But how much are we aware of the changes in nature? Are we all connected with nature as we connect with our online social media? How many of you walk and take a look around the woods without sitting on the couch and using mobiles? And the last question, how many youths know the importance of forests and the lives in them?
For this generation…
Through years of severe destruction effects on the environment, we have managed to push several species of trees to the brink of extinction. Youth needs to understand the relations between the forests and the livelihoods and how to ensure that future generations can benefit from all the resources that forests provide. Youths can take part as forest preservation agents in their local communities as they have a vital role in conservation activities. The youths constitute the world’s large part of the population, which means their initiatives and actions in forest preservations are substantial. The primary way to involve youth in forest conservation activities is by making the integration between generations fun. Youths are the future. They are the future bearer of the consequences of the present generation’s action; therefore, they need to be involved in the sustainable activities essential for future livelihood. Involving youth in forest restoration activities also creates a bond between them and nature. Young people can contribute critical energy, ideas, and skills and be eager to take up community forest governance and work.
This is how it is done
Team — We Grow Forest
We Grow Forest Foundation provides a Green Learning Platform for the youth to make them understand the importance of preserving natural resources. It is crucial for youth to know the importance of forest conservation and restoration. It is essential to engage youth and involve them in forest stewardship and sustainable management. Motivated youths are necessary to work actively on forest preservation and address climate change issues. Education is the fundamental point to nurture future leaders. We Grow Forest Foundation conducts campaigns, awareness programs, and other involvement activities for the public, especially youth. This is to create consciousness among them to learn more about the conservation and preservation of forests. Green learning platform aims to create an environmentally literate society that cares about the importance of the forest to maintain the sustainability of earth and humankind. We Grow Forest Foundation wants youth around the world to engage and take initiatives along with NGOs like us in restoration and forest preservation activities with local communities. As young people, we want to generate strong youth discussions, content, and outcome statements; we have to pave the way for that through our Green Learning Platform. We Grow Forest Foundation invites youths to engage in our reforestation and tree planting activities. Together we can create a green zone around the world. The future belongs to young people who work for nature.
Our forest resources are your birthright; it is the responsibility of everyone around the world to protect and conserve for the next generations. So, make sure you are not wasting your young time just by growing up. The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow, be the change leader and empower communities to implement scalable standards to restore forest landscapes sustainably.
